Mehdi Dahkan
Mehdi made his debut at a very young age, exploring hip-hop and other urban practices. At the age of 12, Mehdi joined the breakdance group 99flow with which he multiplied his experiences on stage at the national and international level. His curiosity for different styles led him to Bollywood, and later to Contemporary dance. As a performer, he worked with several dance companies and choreographers in Morocco and Europe, such as Khalid Benghrib, Sylvain Groud, Cristina Santucci, Emmanuel Milan, Wajdi Guagi, Ahlam el Morsli.
Interested in transmission, he gives courses in various cultural centers in Morocco such as: The Conservatory of Tangier; Positive School; Darna Theater; Live room; Kampus Casa. In 2019, he founded the company Jil Z and began to develop his own work as a choreographer with the creation “MAKAN” in 2020, followed by “2M.2” and “Bni Makada”. He is currently working on a trilogy titled “Subject to Only 14 Kms of Chaabi”
Mehdi fait ses débuts très jeune, en explorant le hip-hop et d’autres pratiques urbaines. A l’âge de 12 ans, Mehdi rejoint le groupe de breakdance 99flow avec lequel il multiplie les expériences sur scène au niveau national et international. Sa curiosité pour les différents styles le conduit à la danse Bollywood et puis à la danse contemporaine. En tant qu’interprète, il a travaillé avec plusieurs compagnies de danse et chorégraphes du Maroc et d’Europe, tels que Khalid Benghrib, Sylvain Groud, Cristina Santucci, Emmanuel Milan, Wajdi Guagi, Ahlam el Morsli.
Intéressé par la transmission, il donne des cours dans différents centres culturels au Maroc tels que : Le Conservatoire de Tanger ; Positive School ; Théâtre Darna; Live room ; Kampus Casa. En 2019, il fonde la compagnie Jil Z et commence à développer son propre travail en tant que chorégraphe avec la création “Makan” en 2020, suivi de “2M” et “Bni Makada”.Il travaille actuellement sur une trilogie intitulée “Sujet à seulement 14 Kms de Chaabi”
